“I am a life that was changed.”
There’s a song called, “Thank You” that keeps repeating in my head today. The lyrics read, “thank you for giving to the Lord, I am a life that was changed.”
A generous supporter of Harper Hill Global was inspired by the article about Bibiche – a young woman whose life was changed when she was raped by four men and shunned by her family and community.
I am proud to share that Bibiche was able to start school today because of this supporter. She is studying to become a nurse! While tuition is paid for 3 years, she still needs support for her books and materials. Email me if you want to help.
Please pray for her confidence, support network and studies.
Good news about Tumaini!
Another generous supporter of Harper Hill Global read the article about Tumaini who was raped recently. She is only 14 years old, but could not read the sign which hangs at the Mama Lynn Center to remind all survivors, “You are God’s beloved. Nothing and no one can ever take that from you.”
This supporter is now giving so that Tumaini may receive an education. Her future is filled with the very thing that is now shared when she speaks her name – which means “hope.”
Thank you for giving to Harper Hill Global. I leave you with a blessing. – Neelley
At easy answers, half-truths,
And superficial relationships
So that you may live
Deep within your heart.
At injustice, oppression,
And exploitation of people,
So that you may work for
Justice, freedom and peace.
To shed for those who suffer pain,
Rejection, hunger and war,
So that you may reach out your hand
To comfort them and
To turn their pain to joy
With enough foolishness
To believe that you can
Make a difference in the world,
So that you can do
What others claim cannot be done
To bring justice and kindness
To all our children and the poor.
